So J's been trying to get me to listen to this band. Now to explain why I didn't immediately run and listen to them-- because, usually, J and I have very similar taste in music and that's very likely why we put up with each other-- is because I just knew I wouldn't like them. Sometimes you just get a feeling about something and you must follow that instinct even when your friend is IMing you with "god dammit. why do i post again?" But I am a good friend, so I listened. And this is the conversation that followed..

J: get a flagon of mead before you listen.

Me: This is so not my kind of music.

J: hee!
J: it's so guy music!

Me: It's so..guy who thinks it's still 1991 and living in his grandma's basement music.

J: he is!
J: i bet he is!
J: i bet i could take this guy at magic.

Me: "That tiny porcelain shoe collection? It's nana's. But don't worry. She won't hear us if we do it."

J: hee!

Me: I've known that guy.

J: when i talk to this guy i might ask him what his favorite "green deck" is.

Me: Hee!

J: "so, like, how would you go about beating a stasis deck in 1.5?"

Me: I so stopped listening before he started showing me his concert t-shirt collection that he keeps in nana's wardrobe to protect it, but makes it smell like mothballs.

J: hee!
J: did he show you his sweet bong?
J: with the ceramic dragon head bowl piece?

Me: I got away before that, but after his Zepplin black light poster.

J: hee!
J: when we first put this on i said you could take hits off this cd.

Me: You so know that this is going to be a post, right?

J: pfft.

I learned something from this: We say "hee!" a lot. But it's because we're damned funny. At least to ourselves..
